I think the same as you about Lynch's intention in making Eraserhead and about the Silent hill games I was sure they took inspiraton from this work, more generically from many of his works I've never seen Mulholland Drive but want to, I'll find it and watch in streaming you should definitely see Lost Highway and Blue velvet, the Elephant man is such a great movie too!
Me too! xD Personally, I don't think they'll be able to do such a great work like that again, of course only Lynch should work on it, that is his creature, if you know what I mean. Also, the actors aren't really the same after 20 years, you know hahaha xD
I just had an interesting thought, do you know who John Milius is? He is a writer/director that has a very unique style. He had a big hand in Conan, the barbarian and a few other very important American films from the 80's. I wonder what would happen if he and Lynch collaborated on a project and it was successful. The mixing of two styles would be very interesting...
Never heard of him before, gotta search a bit. Already trying to understand Lynch's mind is very complicated, so mixing other styles would be too messy in my opinion ^^ Obviously I'd like to see more from him, something new, but also think he's done enough
